Oh The Glory Of It All

Posted in David Crowder, Love, Me, Music, Passion, Uncategorized, Worship on February 20, 2007 by superman1224

I know Russ posted this a little ways back but I am trying an experiment in web traffic. Apparently the lyrics and or the song are a hot commodity on the world wide web. People are looking all over for this song. I understand why because it is awesome. In case you missed it here ya go.

Oh the Glory of it All
By: David Crowder Band

At the start, He was there, He was there
In the end, He’ll be there, He’ll be there
After all, our hands have wrought, He forgives

Oh the glory of it all, is He came here
For the rescue of us all, that we may live
For the glory of it all, for the glory of it all

All is lost, find Him there, find Him there
After night, dawn is there, dawn is there
After all, falls apart, He repairs, He repairs

Oh the glory of it all, is he came here
For the rescue of us all, that we may live
For the glory of it all, oh He is here
Redemption from the fall, that we may live
For the glory it all, oh the glory of it all
The glory of it all, oh the glory of it all

After night, comes a light, dawn is here, dawn is here
It’s a new day, it’s a new day

Everything will change
Things will never be the same
We will never be the same
We will never be the same
We will never be the same
We will never be the same

Oh the glory of it all, is You came here
For the rescue of us all, that we may live
For the glory of it all, oh You are here
With redemption for us all, that we may live
For the glory of it all, oh the glory of it all
The glory of it all, oh the glory it all

Everything will change
Things will never be the same
We will never be the same
We will never be the same
We will never be the same
We will never be the same
We will never be the same
We will never be the same…

Top 5 Songs Of The Week.

Posted in Life, Lifehouse, Love, Mat Kearney, Me, Music, Top 5, TV on February 9, 2007 by superman1224

It’s that time again. This was the longest week I’ve had in a long time. Luckily I had some great tunes to get me through.

5. “Undone” By Lifehouse. This song was a late arrival. I hadn’t heard this song until yesterday. I guess when you have 6,706 songs in your iTunes one or two might get over looked for a while.

4. “Bullet” By Mat Kearney. As you might now Mat Kearney is my new favorite cd. This is a great song.

3. “Wait” By Mat Kearney.

2. “Punkrocker” By The Teddy Bears (Featuring Iggy Pop). Pretty much everyone who has a Tv has heard this song. It’s the one that is playing during the Cadillac commercial. You know the one that shows all the different models over the past 50 years. Awesome commercial and song.

And coming in this week at number 1. “In the Middle” By Mat Kearney. I could have easily had Mat cover the entire list but that’s just boring. Just buy the cd and you’ll see what I mean.

As always please comment with your top 5.

Becca’s Team In Training Update.

Posted in Becca, Cold, Football, Life, Love, Me, Running, Team In Training, Uncategorized on February 7, 2007 by superman1224

Just wanted to give you all an update on Becca’s Team In Training progress. Remember last Saturday? You know the day where it was like 2° outside and -25° with the wind chill. My wife ran 7 miles in that. I know what you’re thinking she is crazy. Well that’s what I thought too but I realized that when someone is truly dedicated to something, they don’t let obstacles stand in their way. My wife is as dedicated as they come.

Last Sunday we had a SuperBowl party to help raise a few bucks and it turned out great. Becca was able to raise $80 bucks and all ate well thanks to my Mother-in-law who makes the greatest food tasted by man. Becca and I would like to thank everyone who showed up to the party and for their generosity. Becca has been able to raise $686 so far. It’s a great start on her way to her goal of $1,500.

As well as running in memory of Becca’s Uncle Ralph, Team in Training also has what they call an honored hero. Neil Penney is just six years old and has been diagnosed with Pre B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Neill was in remission for over two years, but recently had a central nervous relapse. Neill loves Star Wars and playing with legos.

More fund raising events are in the works for the months a head including a No Limit Texas Hold’em tournament. I’ll have more details on these events soon. Until then make sure you visit Becca’s donation site here. Thanks again for all your support. We now return you to the blogging already in progress.

Mat Kearney

mat-kearney.jpgSo I’m gonna go a head and get this out before Russ. He gave me a new Cd to check out this morning and I have to say it has made my morning fly by. It is awesome. It has a unique sound. A mixture of a lot of different bands that I like. It’s like a Jack Johnson meets The Fray with a little Counting Crows, Coldplay, and some Linkin Park having Coffee with Snow Patrol. Just go buy it okay. You won’t be disappointed. It’s got a really good mood to it. Lots of highs and lows. I am sure there will be some of my favs in the Friday Top 5 of the week. You can get some more info here.

Audience Of One

Posted in Daisy, Friendship, Guitar, Life, Love, Me, Music, Worship on February 2, 2007 by superman1224

daisy.jpgSo I had to share this story. Not sure if any of you know but I have a 2 1/2 year old English Bulldog named Daisy. I love this dog like it is my first born. Anyway, last night I was practicing for worship this Sunday. I was upstairs jamming away on “Audience of One” and Daisy comes loping up the stairs. She looks at me playing and walks over and sits right at my feet listening to me play. She sat there for 15 minutes just staring up at me. This was the coolest thing ever. I was either doing a good job or she was trying to get me to stop. Anyway it was pretty cool. Just thought I’d share.

Guilty by association

Posted in Church, Friendship, Life, Love, Me, Worship on January 31, 2007 by superman1224

This whole morning I have been thinking of a topic to blog about. In the back of my mind I have been struggling with a particular issue and I was wondering if some of you could share your opinion.

Is it wrong to stop being friends with someone because of their life style? At what point do you say, “I don’t agree with what you do with your life and I don’t think we should talk or be seen together.” The motive would be the fear that their rep would stain yours. Lets say they understand and respect that you are a Christian and they don’t judge you even though they don’t share the same belief’s. Is that right to turn them away? After all one day they may find God through you. Is there a point in which you just give up on someone? In my humble opinion I believe that you never turn someone away….as long as they don’t cause you to stumble. You never know how God can use you in that person’s life. I think Churches have gotten a bad wrap over loving people from a distance. We love you sinner as long as you don’t sin around us. In a sense I think I might have answered my own question but I am interested in hearing what you all think.
