So last night I had my first Live online draft experience. I will say I am pretty happy with my squad. I got one really big player and a lot of really solid guys. We’ll see how I match up. I was excited at first about a number 10 draft postion because I got two picks in a row at the end of each round, however it sucks having to wait all that time to make your pick, watching your most wanted list disappear right before my eyes. Overall I’m pretty excited for the season to start. It’s gonna kill me to wait 2 weeks to get the show on the road. For those of you who care here is my team.

Marathon Woman

Posted in Becca, Cancer, Friendship, Giving, Life, Marathon, Nike, Team In Training, TNT, Travers City on May 24, 2007 by superman1224

ralph_becca.jpgSo as many of you may or may not know, my wife is participating in the Team In Training Half Marathon in honor of her uncle Ralph that passed away last year. Team in Training is an endorsed training program that involves several marathons. The marathon has multiple purposes: 1) to raise awareness of blood cancers such as Leukemia and Lymphoma, 2) to raise funds for drug research to find a cure, and 3) to ease the financial burden placed on individual’s and their families when a family member has been diagnosed with cancer. Becca was only required to raise $1,500 for the marathon, but because we have the most supportive family and friends in the world, Becca was able to raise $2,542! We would like to thank you all for all the love and support you have given her all along the way.

Well race day is upon us. We leave tomorrow at noon to head up to Travers City. Her race begins on Saturday at 7:00am. Please everyone if you could keep us in your prayers as we travel and Becca in your prayers on Saturday I would really appreciate it. This will be a very emotional time for us but especially for Bec. She has worked so hard getting ready for this race. I could never be prouder of her. She has been such an inspiration to me. Also if you would like to leave any words of encouragement for her in the comments please do so Becca reads my blog everyday….I make her! Thank you all again so much for everything.

Also, it is never to late to donate. You can click here or on the link in my side bar to make an online donation. Thanks again.

I am sure many of you have seen panorama’s before. This is a pretty sweet step further. This is a 360° panoramic of Paris. I was going through my Blogroll and upon visiting the Steve Tolleson Blog I made this totally amazing and excellent discovery!

Rob Park is a photographer living in Edmonton, Alberta. Like most of us designers/photographers he’s a computer geek and is always messing around with images and new ideas to make them more interesting. You can learn more about him here and also view his in depth tutorial on how to make these wicked awesome globes out of your own back yard. You should know that you will need a little equipment in order to successfully create this effect. You can also visit his Flickr page and see a tone of his planets. If you dig a little you can download them at full size and make wicked awesome desktops to impress your friends

Friday Top 5

Posted in Chicago, Cloud Gate, Design, Flash, Friendship, Michigan, Millennium Park, Top 5 on March 2, 2007 by superman1224

Well it has been a sad week. There has virtually been no music on this trip, a part from whatever Russell decides to sing in the shower or while he goes to the bathroom. So I have decided to post the top 5 things I’ve done this week.

5. Got my shoes shined.

4. Went to a pretty sweet comic book store.

3. Ate at Chipolte for lunch. This place is awesome. I had the best fajita of my life!

2. Went to millennium park and saw the Cloud Gate sculpture. Got some sweet pictures but I will have to wait till I get back to the office to download them from my camera.

1. Learned some wicked awesome Flash with my buddy Russ.

All-in-all this was a pretty sweet trip. Now I get to enjoy one last awesome lunch and dinner before we head back to Michigan. I’ll have a full debriefing on monday complete with pictures and restaurants. Have a great weekend.

Photo ID Day!

Posted in Art, Friendship, IDs, Work on February 19, 2007 by superman1224

Today I have the good fortune of taking all the photo IDs for the whole company. This is actually a good opportunity for me to meet some of the people in the company who I do not know. However everyone knows that work IDs are a step above driver’s license photos and a step below year book pictures. I remember how they used to hand back school pictures and kids would immediately turn the picture around so that all you could see was the white backing through the enormous plastic screen on the package. As a side note. I will be posting Russell’s picture as soon as it is ready. If you would like a hi-rez copy the bidding will start at $5.
