Posted in Apple, Feist, iPod, Music, YouTube on May 14, 2008 by superman1224

From that sassy little minx that brought you that catchy ipod commercial, comes Feist’s coolest new tune. I seriously can’t stop listening to this.

isale.jpgI have been looking around the house trying to trim a little fat and get rid of some stuff that I don’t need. I have a few Apple things that need to go and was thinking of throwing some items on ebay but thought I would open it up to you guys first.

The First item up for grabs is iLife 08. This iLife suite is probably the best release so far. Included in the suite is iPhoto, iMove, iDVD, Garage Band, and iWeb. Retail is $79.00 yours today for $40.00. Click here for system requirements.

The second item is iWork. iWork is Apple’s alternative to Microsoft Office. It include Pages, Numbers, and KeyNote. iWork retails for $79.00. Yours today for $40.00

The third thing up for grabs is a Airport Card for ibooks. If you have a ibook G3 or G4 I can hook you up with a wireless internet card. I bought this off ebay for $125 and I am selling it for $60.00.

If you are interested in any of these items email me or leave a comment.

****Update****

iLife 08 has been sold.

What’s on your desktop

So Josh posted something I have though about doing for a while but never got around to it, and that’s posting your desktop and showing off your workspace. This is mine. Some of the programs I use are the new CS3, NetNewsLite, which is my RSS Reader, Audio Hijack (it is what it sounds like), Burn, Transmit, Barcode pro, and iMovie, just to name a few. The background image is a comicbook panel style thing that I made of some of my favorite Superman images. It’s a bit busy and sometimes hard to find files and folders but it makes me happy every time I see it. So what’s you desktop look like? To see my entire setup click here. That’s how we roll at the E D E N baby!

Look but don’t Touch

So I am sure most of you have seen or heard about the new iPod Touch. For a while now I have been complaining to Russ about how I wanted an iPhone but it would be so expensive to get out of my contract with Verizon and then drop half a G for this little baby. I even remembered saying “I wish they would come out with something like this that isn’t a phone!” Well my wish was granted, but I can’t help but to recall the famous advice of, “be careful of what you wish for…” Well now that the iPod Touch or as I affectionately call it, the iTouch (ha ha that’s sounds creepy, I see now why they included the Pod in there bfore touch) is out, I can’t help but to ask why? What is this thing really good for without the phone technology? So what now we pay at least $300 bucks for an iPod with less storage than the G1 iPod released back in the day, all for what the ability to surf the web on the go? See I use this little invention called a “laptop”. It lets me surf the web on the go. It has a big screen and it has more than 8GB of storage. Oh yeah it also plays music. I mean seriously, any place that you could use the iPod touch’s wireless technology you’re probably gonna have a laptop or could have a laptop. Oh yeah I almost forgot, you get to jab at it with your finger like you’re checking to see weather it’s dead or not. So it’s not just a clever name? Let’s face it, the Mad Scientist that is Steve Jobs only developed the iTouch to head the hackers off at the pass. People all over the place were hacking the iPhone to basically act as an iPod with Wi-Fi. So personally along with the squishy Nanos this was a huge disappointment. I love Apple but I hope this isn’t a start of a slide. I won’t even start on what I think of the new iMovie! Geesh! As far as I am concerned they should name the new iPod line iWon’t, as in iWon’t be buying them.

So I made another playlist. I have a ton for all different moods and occasions. This one is called slow mo. It’s a collection of some of my favorite relaxing songs. It really helps release a lot of stress. I find that the type of music I listen to during the day dictates my mood. So what am I missing? Let me know what I should add to this list. What is on yours? Help a brother out, I want a full workday of music so there is not limit.

Forget the $600 bucks. I’m gonna knit my iPhone

I stumbled upon this little story at Daddytypes.com. Basically it instructions for Grandma’s to knit their grandkids an iPhone so they don’t slobber all over Dad and Mom’s. It’s pretty funny but a little pathetic if you ask me. I still do want one though. Maybe my mom will knit me one in the mean time.
